Final Full Moon of 2022 & More Mayan Astrology to Come

Hi Friends

Wow, that last full moon of the year was HUGE right? Full moons are indeed a time of completion and illumination.

My BIG illumination was that this year, I’ve become much more in tune with our cyclical nature. Just as the moon goes through its phases, so do we. Reminds me of the song by The Byrds, Turn! Turn! Turn!

To everything (turn, turn, turn)

There is a season (turn, turn, turn)

And a time to every purpose, under heaven

A time to be born, a time to die

A time to plant, a time to reap

A time to kill, a time to heal

A time to laugh, a time to weep

The Mayans understood this so well.

Mayan Fire Ceremony

They knew when to plant and when to harvest, when to give back and when to openly and unashamedly receive. I have loved learning and studying this knowledge and so many people have been telling me they are interested in knowing more, too. Some of my favorite questions are:

How accurate is the Mayan calendar?

Is Mayan astrology even a thing?

How many days did the Maya calendar have?

What is the 260 day count (Chol Q’ij), the 365 day count (Macewal Q’ij)?

How about the 52 year count and The Long count ?

Did the ancient Maya predict that the world would end on December 21, 2012?

What is the significance of the Number 13 to the Maya? I thought it was an UNLUCKY number (Friday the 13th?)?

Mayan Symbols?

What is Ceremonial Cacao? Is it the same as Nestlé Hot Chocolate?

I am happy to share what I know in the coming days. Is there anything else you’d like me to cover? Please let me know.

Very soon it will be Solstice time, and you and I will be dreaming-in magical things for 2023 with a cup of real Cacao in hand. Until then here are some lovely full moon dates for your 2023 diary:

2 Weeks of Eclipse Energy. Are you ready?

Hi Friends

I write this as we are about to enter an intense 2 weeks of energy. We have :

  • Partial SOLAR Eclipse Oct 25, 2022 2° Scorpio 00′
  • Total LUNAR Eclipse November 8, 2022 16° Taurus 01′

Eclipses tend to bring sudden changes and shake-ups. This is definitely going to be compounded because the earth’s Geo-magnetics are currently quite volatile. Scientists are recording a record number of solar flares (M Class and even a rare X class flare has been recorded recently).

As the Sun or the Moon falls into the darkness during an Eclipse, our hidden emotions rise and we have to deal with our shadow side more (Scorpio). Soul literally brings out all our old stuff in order for us to face the fear and make big changes. Things can get heavy, especially for empaths as it can be difficult not to be drawn into other people’s stuff.

During this time, the following symptoms are not uncommon:

Dizziness

Insomnia

Friction in relationships

Fatigue and body aches

Out of body sensations

Radical spiritual awakenings

This is all part of your evolution, clean-up, upgrade and ascension process.

Healing waters of Carmel River

According to Hindu tradition, taking a bath in a river after the eclipse is considered extremely beneficial. It is believed that taking a bath in a holy river leads to the attainment of Moksha and washing away of sins. If you are not able to take a bath in a river, any old water will do.

There is also some good news! The period between eclipses is known as the Eclipse Doorway (2 weeks this time) and can be a time of radical transformation, instant manifestation and magic. Don’t be surprised if incredible gifts and opportunities drop into your lap at this time.

Please remember that anything that exits your life during an Eclipse, was probably not meant for you. If something new enters your life, it is for your highest good.

Love,

Cara

P.S. On Saturday, 22 October 2022 (love those 2s!) for the first time in 150 years, the Venus Star Point will enter the sign of Libra offering us a great new chapter of change.  I found a great resource on the Venus Star Point if you’d like to read more : https://sophiavenus.com/venus-star-point/

SUMMER SOLSTICE MAGIC

The Summer Solstice has always been one of my favorite days of the year. School is out. Time to head to our favorite alpine lake for a family vacation. Time to CELEBRATE and RECONNECT.

The word Solstice derives from sol (Sun) and sistere (standing still). This is because at the Summer Solstice, the sun appears to stand still.

Perhaps this is why it feels like the perfect time to slow down and SAVOR THE SWEETNESS OF LIFE.

Memories of flower crowns and May poles from my childhood inspired me to find a local florist to create bouquets for every room of our vacation rental last Summer Solstice. Such a decadent splurge and the perfect décor for our celebration.

CELEBRATING WAS WHAT I HAD MOST ON MY MIND. My daughter and her boyfriend had both just graduated from University. There had been no ceremony to honor their achievements. The trip to Europe that they had saved and planned for evaporated before their eyes as the world went into lockdown.

Yet, we still had our vacation to look forward to and I was determined to make it MAGICAL.

The magic started happening before we even arrived. The practical mini-van that I had reserved was not available. It would be replaced with the Suburban that I had wanted to rent, but could not afford. I had placed my order and the Universe had delivered.

A few days later, Mother Earth yielded even more MAGIC.  While hiking, my husband found several Lemurian crystals. They were literally lying in full view. Right in the middle of the trail! He had the loveliest one mounted and made into a necklace for me. Magical indeed.

MAGIC IS HAPPENING ALL THE TIME. We just need to look for it. The Summer Solstice is a time when the veil between the material and spiritual worlds is said to be much thinner. It’s a great time to light a bonfire or a candle and observe the magic of the season.

Wishing you and yours a MAGICAL SOLSTICE and a SUMMER filled with JOY and LEISURE.
