Living Maya Time – Reflections on Imox

I’ve always understood Imox to represent divine creation. The force that initiates conception. The idea that arrives before action is taken. Imagination, gestation and the unseen realms are the domains of Imox. This Nawal is also deeply connected with water. Its glyph represents the water lily. From the image of the water lily, we can better understand the energy of Imox. Its emergence is only possible because it is rooted deeply in the dark soils beneath the surface of the still water that it floats upon. The intelligence that informs the water lily’s journey from seed to flower is Imox.

Imox took me on a journey deep into its fertile waters over the past thirteen days and I still haven’t breached the surface yet. Rather than feeling frightened by the darkness and the lack of knowing, I’ve found myself oddly comforted in the not knowing. In the potential that the news that Doctors have delivered is not the final answer. Imox reminded me that only divine intelligence knows the final answer. This force some may call God or Spirit has its own agenda and its own wisdom. It’s capable of miracles and of magic. It can heal and correct that which appears to be broken.

Presence is the gift of receiving news that you never expected or couldn’t possibly imagine that you could bear hearing. We are here today and we have much to be grateful for. We don’t always understand the lessons of an experience until it’s over, but we can learn to have faith. Each new experience, whether horrifying or ecstatic shapes us and develops our sense of perspective. I’ve been given an opportunity to renew my faith and trust my journey this trecena. Imox has helped me feel my way through the fog of medical opinions. My body feels safe and my heart is hopeful. Please pray for my grandson, Henry. We’re really eager to have him join us. We’d like to see him fully bloom, like the water lily.

With hope,

Cara
